The Women's Resource Center Houston is positioned to assisting women who is single and need assist in help with their children. Our commitment is to Empower, Uplift , and Reach every parent who is in need in our community! Whether you are a single woman with children or single man, it takes a community to raise a child. The Women's Resource Center Houston understands this great need which is before every community leader who have been submitted a request for assistance on this matter. Providing shelter for the women with children is our Top Priority! We have to be creative in finding ways to fund this great project! We can not do this alone. It will take the Government and local community leaders to assist as well as everyone else to help share their resources to providing food and shelter to parents who have no funding to sustain their everyday life. The Women's Resource Center will also provide training for parents to get back to work with new skills in the marketplace to assist them on finding work in the local community or starting their own business. We have partnered with various teachers and trainers to assist The Women's Resource Center to teach skills relevant to the marketplace and trends that will continue to build and grow the average person. We will have training classes in the following area, Computer training, Web Design Training, Sales Training, Customer Service Training, Entrepreneur Training, Community Service Training. The training resource is for people in the community who do not have the necessary skills to compete in the marketplace, or people who need an enhancement in their current skills in these areas. We are reaching out to local businesses in the community to assist us in helping low income community members to enhance their skills to compete in the marketplace.

Gulf Coast Community Services Association
Hours of Service: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays
Provides low income residents with supporting services including housing counseling, senior services, youth services, food pantry, after-school activities, Head Start, bus tokens, case management, school uniform/supplies vouchers, clothes closet and employment skills.
Riverside Health Center
Hours of Service: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday
The health center provides preventive health services, maternity, family planning and immunizations to the Third Ward community.
Gulf Coast Head Start
Hours of Service: 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday
Head Start is a Federal program for preschool children from low-income families. The Head Start program is operated by local non-profit organizations in almost every county in the country. Children who attend Head Start participate in a variety of educational activities. They also receive free medical and dental care, have healthy meals and snacks and enjoy playing indoors and outdoors in a safe setting.
